Frequently asked questions
Find answers about our catalogue, advisory services, vendor marketing and how engagements are scoped.
If your question is specific to a contract, licence position or commercial decision, ask for a consultation so we can work from the relevant information.
What does The Software Licensing Company do?
The Software Licensing Company helps organisations discover software, plan procurement, understand licensing and strengthen vendor and contract governance. We also provide paid marketing services for software vendors.
Do you provide software quotations?
Yes. Catalogue entries can be used to request a quotation or ask for product details. Any commercial proposal is scoped to the requirements and information available.
Are advisory services independent?
Independence applies to our advisory work, which is not tied to a single publisher. It does not mean we have no commercial relationships: we also supply and implement software commercially, including as an authorised partner for LogicHarbour, and we provide paid marketing services to vendors. Those are separate, disclosed service lines and do not change the basis of advisory recommendations.
Do you guarantee savings, audit outcomes, leads or sales?
No. Outcomes depend on the facts, scope, decisions and participation of the organisations involved. We do not guarantee savings, audit outcomes, leads or sales.
